--- TUNES ---

A tune is a saved sequence of blocks. Each block has its own time signature, tempo, subdivisions, length in bars, optional rit. / accel. ramp into the next block, optional cesura (silent gap) at its end, and a "count-in" flag for the first block. Rehearse with a click that follows your tempo and meter.

--- IMPORT MIDI & MUSICXML ---

Drop a MIDI or MusicXML file from any notation app (Sibelius, MuseScore, Dorico, Logic). aiMetronome reads tempo markings, time-signature changes, repeats, voltas, cesuras and fermatas — and builds the tune for you. No more re-typing a 100-bar piece bar by bar.

Send a single tune (.aitune) or your whole library (.aitunes) via AirDrop, Files, iCloud Drive — any iOS share destination. Great for teachers handing students rehearsal plans, or personal backup.

--- PLAYBACK LOOP & JUMP TO ANY BAR ---

Long-press a block to set loop start / end — the selected range loops indefinitely until cleared. Or drag the red playhead dot on the main-screen banner to jump to any bar instantly.

--- TEMPO ---

Accurate from 10 to 300 BPM. Twist the big knob for fast moves. Use the +/– buttons for 1 BPM precision. Tap the centre to set tempo by feel — your taps are averaged, so the BPM settles smoothly instead of bouncing on every tap.

New in V2: standalone ritardando or accelerando ramps over any number of beats or measures, from any tempo to any target.

aiVolume™ listens and adapts the click volume to your dynamic range. • Loud playing: click turns up. • Quiet playing: click backs off. • Volume Boost (10 / 20 s) gives a clearer click for count-ins, then fades back to aiVolume™.

The click sits naturally in the background of your music — and disappears in the quiet moments where it would otherwise stand out. • Lessons — backs off during discussion, comes up when you play. • Recording sessions — click goes quiet during exposed passages, less bleed into the mic. • Live performance — rises with stage volume, drops in quiet moments where the audience could otherwise hear it leaking from in-ears.

--- TIME SIGNATURES & CLICK SOUNDS ---

Set any time signature with the new notation-style picker — numerator over a fraction line, denominator below, just like engraved music. Subdivisions in a simple wheel.

Pick a click timbre — Claves, Click, or Beep — or mix them. New in V2: choose any timbre to play at half velocity on non-accented beats — a fuller texture that still tracks the downbeat.

Important: focus your device's mic 0.5–2 m from the sound source. Don't place the device directly on the instrument (e.g. on a piano body) — it can cause unnaturally high ambient readings and distort aiVolume™'s behaviour.
