Someone Like Me is Ireland’s first dedicated cancer peer support and resource app for people affected by cancer.

Founded by breast cancer survivor Vanessa Mooney, the app was built around one simple belief - that talking to someone who truly understands what you are going through can make all the difference.

Someone Like Me connects you with other cancer patients, survivors and family members based on diagnosis, cancer type and lived experience. Every connection is one-to-one and private.

HOW IT WORKS

Create your profile and share as much or as little as you are comfortable with. Browse people who have been through something similar to you. Send a wave to connect - the other person must accept before any messages are sent.

Chat privately, share your story, ask questions, or simply know you are not alone. Pause or leave any conversation at any time, no explanation is needed.

Read and share real experiences from people across Ireland who have faced cancer. Stories are moderated to help keep the community safe, supportive and free from misinformation.
