How it works: both pick a language, tap record, and speak. LingoShu listens, transcribes, and — once you send it — translates into natural, in-context language.

• Two buttons: each speaker has their own record button. Hand the phone back and forth, or flip to Mirror mode.
• Clear chat: see both the recognised speech and the translation in a clean chat.
• Pronunciation help: Pinyin, Romaji, and Romaja for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
• Own dictionary: add names, places, and tricky words so they come out right.
• Read aloud: tap the speaker icon, or turn on auto-play in the header.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN Privacy isn't a feature we added on top — it's how the app is built.

• Signing in with Apple gives us only a user ID. Not your name, not your email.
• We never store your audio: it's sent for processing, then deleted.
• No analytics SDKs, no third-party trackers, no ads.

SIMPLE, FAIR PRICING

• Start free: translate online free at first, then keep going offline for free as long as you like.
• Pro (online): online is the most natural and context-accurate. Go Pro for unlimited everyday use* of online translation, plus your conversation history saved privately on your device.
• Minute packs: no subscription needed. When your online minutes run out, LingoShu switches to offline automatically, so your conversation doesn't break.
• Offline mode: runs entirely on your iPhone (even in Aeroplane Mode) and stays free. It's simpler and less accurate — names and idioms may be wrong — and some languages are online-only. Tap the header button to download a language pack once.

A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER I'm one developer, and I built LingoShu to have more authentic conversations with my wife's Chinese parents. I'm a traveller myself. I wanted a translator that gets authentic, in-context translation right — without giving up my privacy. This is LingoShu.
