*App Purpose Yori is a travel planning app that lets users save, organize, and discover places from social media. Users share YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok links, and Yori's AI extracts the places mentioned adding them to a personal world map. Users can plan trips collaboratively with friends, check in at locations, and explore curated recommendations. The app solves the problem of losing travel recommendations scattered across social media by centralizing them into an actionable, map-based travel planner. Can use AI chat assistant to query about places saved.

• Steps to access core features:

1. Launch app → complete onboarding → sign in with Google/Apple
2. Set a username (e.g., "applereview")
3. Allow location, notification when prompted
4. To test social media extraction: tap share button from YouTube/Instagram travel video URL select Yori App ,
5. On the world map, tap the chat icon → type "best cafes in Tokyo" to see AI-powered place discovery from saved list only.
6. Tap any place pin on the map to see place details, save, or check-in
7. Share/ invite friends, connect with friends to see each other places. (both has to accept)
8. Open Profile → Settings to see privacy policy, terms, support, and account management (delete account)

  • Backend: Custom Node.js API hosted on AWS
  • Database: AWS RDS PostgreSQL

• Regional Differences The app functions consistently across all regions. All features (map, trips, AI extraction, check-ins) are available globally. The core app experience is identical regardless of region.

• Regulated Industry Yori does not operate in a regulated industry. It is a travel planning and social discovery app with no medical, financial, legal, or gambling features.
