Features & Capabilities

Your analog film companion — track your stock, loaded cameras, and lab queue. Now with disposable camera support. 600+ film stocks, 600+ cameras!

FilmFridge is the inventory app analog photographers have been waiting for. Track every roll, pack, and box of film from the moment it goes in your fridge to the moment it comes back from the lab, with a workflow that matches the way you actually shoot. Barcode scanning, Watch support, cloud sync, iPad view, and a complete storage-to-archive workflow.

○ THE FRIDGE ○ Scan the barcode on any film box, and FilmFridge instantly identifies the stock, pulling in brand, name, ISO, format, and frame count from a built-in database of 600+ film stocks. Or search by name and let typeahead suggestions fill in the details. Every roll is tracked individually, with expiry alerts and low-stock warnings so you always know what you have.

Formats supported: 35mm, 120, 220, 110, Minox, APS, 4x5, 5x7, 8x10, Instax Mini, Instax Wide, Instax Square, Polaroid 600, i-Type, SX-70, Polaroid Go, and more. Legacy formats like 620, 127, Disc, and Super 16, and motion picture formats Super 8, Double/Regular 8, and 16mm are covered, and we just added 35mm disposable/single-use cameras!

○ LOADED ○ Load a roll into a camera with a single tap. See every camera you have loaded right now, with the film stock, ISO, and how long the roll has been in. Log shooting sessions with short notes and GPS-tagged locations as you work.

○ MID-ROLL SWAP ○ Pull a roll mid-roll to switch stocks - FilmFridge records the frame you stopped at and reminds you exactly where to continue when you reload.

○ LAB ○ When the roll is done, send it to the lab in one step with optional instructions: push/pull, service type, slide mounting, and negative cutting. A days-waiting counter starts immediately. Developing and scanning your own film? Use the lab tab to manage your processing backlog and track rolls through your workflow at your own pace.

○ HISTORY ○ Your complete shooting archive, organized by month. Search by film stock, camera, location, or any note you logged along the way.

○ BULK ROLL FILM ○ Load your own cassettes from a bulk spool? FilmFridge tracks remaining footage and records every cassette you cut, with frame count estimates that update as you load.

○ APPLE WATCH ○ Check what's loaded in each camera, update shot ISO, log your last frame, and add journal entries by voice - all from your wrist.

○ CLOUD SYNC ○ Optional cloud sync keeps your inventory, settings, and custom locations up to date across all your devices. Sign in with your email - no password required. Your data stays private and on-device by default.

○ IPAD LAYOUT ○ Unlock a purpose-built iPad interface with a persistent sidebar and split-view detail panels. One-time in-app purchase, $0.99.

User Reviews

Highly recommend this app for analog / film photographers of all levels. Keeps track of your roll inventory, from purchase/storage/camera loading to developing. Even tracks film expiration dates (with enabled notifications offered). I was using a pocket notebook, but having it on my phone is next level!

I love having the space to keep track of all my inventory with expiry dates and all. It really helps me remember what I need to get or what I’m low on or what’s getting close to going bad.

This app is a wonderful example of built by people who care and the want the tool. Ive given a good bit of feedback and a majority of it has been considered and implemented. Like many film enthusiasts I have film all over the place and this is a great way to track and inventory my “collection”
