Ephemeral Trace is a privacy-first camera for iOS. Take a photo or record a video, set a timer, and it automatically disappears when time runs out. No cloud. No servers. No account required.

— AUTO-DELETION — Choose an expiry timer before you shoot: 30 seconds, 5 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours. Pro adds Keep Forever and custom timer presets. Media deletes itself in real time, in the background, and on every app launch. Deletion is permanent and irreversible — by design.

— TIME AS TEMPERATURE — Every capture carries the color of its own lifespan. Short timers burn hot, long ones run cool, forever stays calm. A decay ring on each thumbnail empties in real time next to a live countdown, so you always know how long something has left. When it expires, it flares once and dissolves.

— ENCRYPTED, THEN GONE — Captures live only inside the app's own storage, where iOS Data Protection encrypts them with hardware-backed keys tied to your passcode and your device's Secure Enclave. When a timer runs out, the file and its encryption key are removed together. No trash. No Recently Deleted. No second copy anywhere.

— FOLDER ORGANIZATION — Sort captures into folders with their own identity color and a custom cover image. Assign a default folder and shoot straight into it — the camera always shows which one you're in.

— QUICK ACTIONS — Press and hold any item in the gallery to extend its timer, change its expiry, move it to a folder, share it, save it to Photos, or delete it.

— FULLY ON-DEVICE — No accounts. No analytics. No crash reporting. No advertising identifiers. No third-party SDKs. Photo Library access is Add Only — the app cannot read your existing photos. Your media never leaves your iPhone.

— PRO — A one-time upgrade unlocks Keep Forever, unlimited folders, biometric gallery lock (Face ID, Touch ID), custom timer presets, and all other and future Pro features. No subscription. Ever.
