PowerMeter is the South African prepaid electricity tracker that pays attention to detail. Track every voucher, every meter reading, every Rand you spend keeping the lights on. I built it because the existing options either treat prepaid as a postpaid afterthought, or hide the actual math behind glossy charts.

PowerMeter shows you exactly what you paid, exactly how many kWh you bought, and exactly where you sit on your municipality's IBT tariff blocks.

WHY POWERMETER

• Honest math. The R figure on the dashboard is exactly what came out of your wallet. Tariff per kWh is the ex-VAT NERSA figure, not the gross.
• South African by default. NERSA tariff data, ZAR currency, en-ZA number formatting, VAT split, municipal IBT blocks.
• Private by design, we store your voucher and reading data on Cloudflare’s secure infrastructure. We don’t sell, share, or analyse your personal data for advertising. No third-party trackers in the app.
• I built the tool I wished existed when we first installed a prepaid meter and included easy meter scanning with the click of a button.
