Ear Training Level 1 - The Fan is a choral drone-based ear training app for exploring and internalizing basic intervals. It presents the seven diatonic tones in two arrays: The Fan organized from consonance to dissonance, and The Curtain arranged in scale order while also distinguishing chord-tones from non-chord tones. Each is an interactive diagram wherein you can tap individual tones and hear them against a sustained vocal drone. To see how your ear training is coming along, the app includes a fun and challenging test mode.

How it works: Start the drone, then tap spheres in the fan or curtain to hear chord tones.

Test mode: Start drone and press begin. Listen to the interval presented. Select your answer. When the timer runs out, you’ll receive feedback as to the accuracy of your selections. There are 10 questions per round.
