AutoTour helps you explore cities, neighborhoods, museums, parks, and landmarks with personalized narrated tours.

Search for a place, choose your interests and available time, and build a tour with ordered stops, a map, and stories you can read or hear.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Search for a city, museum, park, or landmark.
2. Choose your interests, time, pace, and travel mode.
3. Generate your tour and review its stops.
4. Follow the map and listen as you explore. With the tour open, narration can begin when you arrive at a stop.

• Personalized tours — AI-assisted planning adapts to your preferences. If the service is unavailable or returns unusable content, AutoTour can build a tour from available place candidates. • Narrated stops — Listen to stories or read the narration at your own pace. • Walking, driving, and transit preferences — Adapt stop selection and tour spread to how you plan to travel. • Venue tours — Explore supported museums and landmarks through their exhibits and features. • Saved tours — Browse your Library, listen to a stop again, or resume the full tour. • Downloaded narration — Download a tour before you go, then check its status in Downloads. Saved audio or device-speech narration can play offline; creating tours and fetching maps, images, or new audio require connectivity. • Flexible progress — Skip a stop without marking it complete, and revisit it later. • Shortcuts and Spotlight — Open saved tours and quickly return to your next outing.

• Look Closer — Photograph or select a detail and explore its connection to sourced stop history, with supporting evidence when available. • City Threads — Explore a shared theme across places you have visited. • Discovery Challenges — Follow a clue, submit a photo or written observation, and receive a sourced explanation or hint. • Your Field Notes — Explicitly save your words, photos, voice recordings, and discoveries. Export selected entries as an illustrated PDF journal with voice notes as separate audio files.

AI discoveries require iOS 27, an eligible Apple Intelligence device, and available Private Cloud Compute service. Photo analysis happens on-device; limited observation text and public source excerpts are used for PCC reasoning. Availability and source coverage vary, and AutoTour may decline to make an unsupported connection.

Field Notes remain on the device where you save them and do not sync or back up to iCloud. Export anything you want to keep before deleting the app or changing devices. Written notes and local journal export do not require PCC.

New users receive 3 free tours. Optional consumable packs add 10, 30, or 75 tour credits. Credits do not expire or renew automatically.

During an active tour, AutoTour uses your location, including in the background while your screen is locked, to detect arrivals and prepare matching route and narration information. With the tour open, narration can start automatically. From the background or Lock Screen, AutoTour can notify you that a stop is ready; tap to open the stop and listen. Arrival checks happen on-device. AutoTour does not use location for advertising or tracking.
