Bible Seek is a quiet, focused place to read, mark, and remember Scripture — aiming to deliver a clean reading experience and the kind of thoughtful study tools serious readers actually use. Everything is on-device. No account to create, no sign-in, no cloud sync.

WHAT YOU CAN READ: Two complete translations — King James Version and American Standard Version — bundled offline. Switch between translations in a tap, and compare verses side-by-side with the compare option. Verse-by-verse or flowing paragraph layouts. Red Letter edition for the words of Jesus. Adjustable font size, light / sepia / dark themes, and auto night mode after sunset.

MARK ANYTHING: Highlight any word, phrase, or whole verse in the color of your choice. A six-tile base palette plus a custom color picker that remembers your recents. Add notes that anchor to the exact phrase that moved you, not just the whole verse. A subtle dotted underline shows where each note lives; tap it to edit. Multi-verse notes are treated as one logical thought — one icon, one edit, one delete. Tag notes (prayer, promise, question, anything you like) and filter the Journal by tag. Tap a highlighted phrase for quick actions: change color, remove, or add a note.

STUDY DEEPER: Greek and Hebrew word study via Strong's. Select any word in KJV and tap Lookup for the lemma, transliteration, and gloss. Cross-references on tap. Each verse has its own "Related" sheet drawn from the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge. Compare KJV and ASV side-by-side, with a one-tap switch. See your annotations from the other translation surfaced as a quiet badge so nothing gets buried after a version switch.

KEEP A JOURNAL: Every bookmark, highlight, and note lives in a searchable, filterable Journal. Filter by color, tag, notes-only, or bookmarks-only. Group by book to scan a long history quickly. Phrase notes show the quoted phrase right alongside your reflection. A "Year ago" card on the home screen surfaces what you noted on this date last year. Save the whole journal as a polished PDF for sharing or keeping. JSON backup + restore so you can move between devices safely. Recently-deleted entries linger for 7 days for easy recovery.
