Features & Capabilities

2.0 — the experiment update. Dress-rehearse meals in the What-If Lab, then put your habits on trial with preregistered experiments. Measured beats guessed.

Most nutrition apps give everyone the same advice. NutritionIQ learns how your body responds.

Built for people who take their metabolic health seriously — whether your doctor flagged your A1c, your energy isn't what it was, or you simply want the next decade to be stronger than the last.

NutritionIQ requires a NutritionIQ Pro subscription — $12.99/month or $79.99/year, each with a 7-day free trial. Everything described below is included with your subscription:

A COACH YOU CAN JUST TALK TO Ask anything about your energy, sleep, meals, or goals — typed or spoken, in plain language. Every answer is grounded in your real numbers, and the coach's personality is yours to choose: Friendly, Scientific, or Strict.

PATTERNS FROM YOUR OWN LIFE NutritionIQ studies your history for real cause-and-effect: how alcohol hits your HRV, what late dinners do to your sleep, what 10,000-step days change about tomorrow's recovery. Patterns appear only when your data clears a statistical bar — never guesswork.

SEE IT BEFORE YOU DO IT The What-If Lab forecasts a meal, a workout, or an earlier bedtime before you commit — grounded in your own measured patterns, with receipts ("based on 8 of your own nights").

A MODEL TRAINED ON YOU NutritionIQ builds an adaptive model from your own outcomes — meals, walks, sleep, recovery — so it improves the longer you use it. The Evidence Ledger measures whether each recommendation actually worked for you, and when something isn't working, we say so. Honest by design.

A COACH THAT READS YOUR LABS Upload a lab report (PDF or photo) and your AI coach cites your real numbers — A1c, lipids, trends — with proper fasting caveats. Ask "should I worry about my LDL?" and get an answer grounded in your bloodwork, not generic advice.

EFFORTLESS LOGGING Snap a photo of your plate and get macros instantly. Scan barcodes. Speak your meals. Point your camera at a restaurant menu to see your predicted glucose response for every dish — and log the one you order in a single tap.

YOUR WHOLE PICTURE, CONNECTED Deep Apple Health integration brings in sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, activity, and glucose. Dexcom, Lingo, Stelo, Renpho, Elite HRV and 100+ other apps sync automatically — plus direct connections for Oura, WHOOP, Fitbit, Garmin, Withings, and Polar.

A PLAN THAT ADAPTS DAILY Meal and walk timing tuned to your recovery, a Morning Verdict with your overnight results waiting when you wake, and challenges that credit you for showing up — day one counts.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No email. You're identified by a random device ID. Your health data powers your coaching — never ads, never sold.

NutritionIQ is a wellness tool for educational purposes. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult your physician before changing your diet or exercise.

Your labs, your data, your coach — a model that learns how your body responds. 7-day free trial, then subscription required.

SUBSCRIPTION Full access requires NutritionIQ Pro: $12.99/month or $79.99/year after a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions.

User Reviews

Don’t fret! This app has so many features that, at first, the app can appear a little overwhelming, but it’s actually incredibly intuitive and easy to use. I downloaded this app to help me with some issues ahead of my annual physical. As mentioned by another reviewer, you can upload lab work to include in the AI coaches learning and analysis. In my case, I had excessive levels of Creatine with not much guidance from my doctor. Once the app learned my lifestyle, it adjusted the daily recommendations to help limit the factors that contributed to the issue. I had my bloodwork taken a few days before my latest physical, and my Creatinine levels were back to mid-range normal. I love that you can integrate your health apps data, including Garmin and my Oura ring data, into the AI coach so it can recommend beneficial sleep patterns and physical activities. It has an AI chat function so you can ask your coach anything (i.e. how can I improve ‘x’, what does ‘x’ mean, why is ‘x’ higher now than before, etc. ) Adding the meals is a breeze with the camera feature or bar code scanner, which helps in adding a ‘recipe’ for easy reuse going forward. I’ve honestly never seen an app like this, and now I can’t imagine my day without it.

This app is like having a personal health coach. You can ask the health coach questions and get advice. Nutrition IQ is the only health app I’ve used that has given me a personalized plan and actually gets smarter the more I use it, because it learns and adapts to how I personally function— and after a couple of weeks it stopped giving me a bunch of generic feedback like the other health apps I’ve used. I really like that it compares me to my own baseline— not general information. And I can add my own data, like my lab work, into the mix too. One of the coolest features is that I use the app to take a photo of what I’ve eaten and get the calorie count right away. Also the recommendations of the app’s personal coach explains what my body’s signals are that lead to the coach’s suggestions for change. This app isn’t like a general advice column. It’s actually given me a couple of ideas to try that my GI doctor didn’t think of. Highly recommend.
