One of you is the Rat. Service Rat is a social deduction party game for 5 to 10 players, built in the spirit of Secret Hitler, Mafia and Werewolf.

It's set in a hand-drawn cartoon town run by cats, where one rat is quietly buying his way into City Hall. Every vote is a MEOW! or a HISS!

Play it pass and play on one phone, or hook up over the same Wi-Fi or with an online room code. Smart bots take any empty seats. The whole thing runs fully offline if you want it to.

HIDDEN ROLES & DEDUCTION Most of you are honest Cats. A few are Sellouts, and they quietly know each other. One of you is the Rat, bluffing along with everyone else and, in a big game, not even sure who his own people are. So everybody ends up reading everybody. You'll lie a bit, because the truth gets expensive fast. The trick is spotting who's acting sus before it costs you the round.

IF YOU KNOW SECRET HITLER, YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO PLAY Same bones, new fur. Each round the Mayor nominates a Ratcatcher. Everyone votes MEOW! or HISS! If the vote passes, the Mayor and Ratcatcher sign a law behind closed doors, either a Cat Law or a Rat Law, and only they know which laws they saw. As Rat Laws pile up on the board, the Mayor's office picks up new powers. By the third one, nobody at the table trusts anybody.

FIND THE RAT Sniff Out lets the Mayor check where a player's loyalties really lie, at least most of the time, and Peek at the Docket shows what's coming before anyone signs anything. Snap Election hands the reins to someone you trust, or someone you're testing. Kick Out of Town is the last resort: point at someone and hope you're right, because guessing wrong hands the game to the other side. Pass five laws before the rats do, or catch the actual Rat and march them out of town.

PLAY WITH FRIENDS OR BOTS Only four people around the table? Add a bot or two and keep going. The AI bots nominate, vote and legislate right along with everyone else, so nobody sits out waiting for a fifth player and nobody has to re-explain the rules. You can also take on a full table of bots on your own, which is a strange and surprisingly good way to spend twenty minutes.

OFFLINE OR ONLINE Pass & play needs nothing at all: no wifi, no data, no account, no signal. Bring it camping or on a long flight with zero bars. Or go online with a room code and get the group together even when you're all in different apartments, or different cities.
