CityMove

CityMove turns walking around Ljubljana into a real-world game.

Explore the city, discover hidden corners, landmarks, and green spaces, and visit them at your own pace. Scan QR codes on the go, confirm your visits, and unlock rewards, achievements, and progress.

Track your activity (steps, distance, and time), complete daily and monthly challenges, and collect coins and XP. More movement means more progress. CityMove is designed to encourage regular walking, city exploration, and active leisure in a fun way.

Use the coins you’ve collected to customize your 3D avatar and create a look that suits your style. You can play casually or join the leaderboards and compare your progress with other users.

CityMove is part of an EU-funded project led by the Ljubljana Health Center. Optional research questionnaires are also available in the app. Completing the questionnaires is voluntary and requires explicit consent within the app. You can use the app without completing the questionnaires.

Privacy is an important part of the app’s design. CityMove uses pseudonymized identifiers (player ID and nickname). Your real name is not required.
