totte - Watch & Shoot Camera

"A little to the right." "One step back." A good photo of the two of you is harder than it sounds. totte links two iPhones — check the frame on one, shoot from the other.

You hand your phone to someone at the lookout, they snap the shot, and when you get the phone back… your head is cut off, or the view you came all the way for isn't even in the frame. But "could you try one more time?" feels awkward, so you just smile, say thanks, and live with it.

Asking your partner doesn't always go much better. "A little to the left." "One more step back." It's hard to keep asking for just one more try without feeling like you're being picky.

And the tripod-and-self-timer route has its own problem: you sprint back into position, fix your smile, and have no idea if the framing was right until you run back to check. Getting a good photo of yourself, with someone you love, is surprisingly hard.

totte is a different kind of camera app. It connects two iPhones directly over P2P — one becomes the camera, the other becomes your live monitor and remote shutter. You stand in the shot, check the framing from where you are, and tap when it looks right.

PRIVACY

totte only uses a direct P2P connection between your two iPhones. Your photos and the live video feed are never sent to any outside server. Photos stay on your iPhone, period.

Crash reports are only sent if you opt in on first launch. You can change your choice anytime from Settings.
