Hidden in your device's App Privacy Report is a detailed record of what your device and apps have been doing. App Iris provides a clear, interactive picture of that activity — with insight that once required costly tools and expertise, right on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

• See when your camera, microphone, photos, screen recording, location, and more were accessed by your installed apps. • Explore it all on a unique timeline view that lines up app activity side by side — so you can spot patterns and understand what was really happening on your device at any moment. • Discover the third-party services and hosting providers around the world your apps connect to. • Compare real-world app behavior against developer privacy claims — then decide what to keep, restrict, or delete.

FOR IT & SECURITY TEAMS Correlate a security alert or network event to a specific app on a specific device — no lab required. Validate timing and behavior directly on the device, or send the user our shortcut to export and forward a report for offline analysis on your Mac. For deep analysis on a larger screen, use the iPad or Mac version.

FILTERING & SEARCH • Search and filter events by app, category, date/time, duration, or domain.

TIMELINE & CORRELATION • A dual-lane timeline shows each app's sensor access and network connections together, in sequence. • Surface related events across apps — for example, what else was active during a phone or video call.

INTELLIGENCE & DOMAIN RANKING • Identify connection ownership, location, and provider type (e.g., hosting provider, VPN, mobile network). • Domain Ranking flags connections to rare domains — those outside common sites — and lets you quickly review and surface suspicious or unusual sites. • Look up domains against external threat intelligence services, and add your own (opens in your browser).

REPORT INSIGHTS (Personal and Pro) • Plot connection history on a live map to see where your data may be going. • Break down app connections by country — see at a glance which apps talk to which parts of the world. • Tag and export events, and create DNS blocklists for Pi-hole or similar filters, or as CSV for offline analysis (Pro).

PRIVACY FIRST • Your privacy reports stay private. App Iris processes reports locally on your device. • Optional online geolocation and intelligence lookups send only the individual domain or IP address being checked to an external provider — and can be disabled in Settings.

SUBSCRIPTION TIERS • Basic — Explore the most recent 12 hours of activity in a report, with basic features. Currently Free. • Personal — Unlock complete report analysis, insights and reporting features, automatic geolocation, and global mapping. • Pro — Aggregate reports for extended timelines; tag, annotate, and export events and blocklists; use custom DNS resolvers; share App Iris with Family Sharing; and more.

App Iris is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac (macOS version in the Mac App Store).
