Vocabden teaches English and German words where they actually live: in a video scene, in song lyrics, in a story, in a real sentence. Then it brings each word back just before you would forget it.

START WHERE YOU ARE One screen, 16 real words: tap the ones you know, then a few clips where you listen and pick what was said. No timer, no wrong answers. You get a CEFR band from A1 to C1, your vocabulary and your ear side by side, and start just below it. Or skip the test and pick your level yourself.

THE PATH (ENGLISH ONLY) 48 units, 12 each for A1, A2, B1 and B2. Every unit has a real-life goal, like "Order food and drink in a cafe." Lessons chain clip, words, listen, read and speak steps, and each unit ends in a checkpoint that re-teaches every word you miss.

FLASHCARDS Three stages: new, learning, review. Miss a word and it comes back in 1, 10 and 60 minutes. Learn it and the interval grows: 1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, 120, 240 days. Two answers: "I know" and "Still learning". No daily cap, no lives, no energy. The deck refills at your level and downloads to your phone, so cards keep working with no signal and answers sync later.

CLIPS Short real scenes built around a word you are learning. The question stays locked until the clip has played to the end; only then do you see what was said and what the word means. Tap any word in the line to see what it means, without leaving the video. There is a swipeable feed too.

SONGS Real songs with lyrics synced to the video. Fill in the missing word from four options, or spell it from scrambled letters. Five lives, a combo up to 4x, and top-100 leaderboards you can filter by language, weekly or all time.

STORIES Narrated childhood stories, the text scrolling with the voice. Tap any word for its meaning.

TRANSLATE One box for a word, a sentence or a paragraph: the translation, a tappable word-by-word breakdown, dictionary entries with IPA and examples. Tap a word and the AI explains it in that exact sentence, idioms included. Your last 40 work offline.

LISTEN AND REPEAT Say the word or sentence out loud. Your iPhone's own speech recognition scores it word by word, 0 to 100. Nothing you record is uploaded.

MY WRITINGS A daily writing task from the unit you are on. Beginners get sentence frames and a word bank; the blank page opens when you are ready. AI feedback returns corrections you apply in one tap.
