Features & Capabilities

The kingfisher lives between stillness and sudden movement. It does not hurry.

From a weathered perch above Hokusai-style waves, you watch shadows drift beneath the surface. When the moment is right, you dive — a single, committed plunge through the water. A clean strike, and you rise again.

Kingfisher is a contemplative action game drawn in the spirit of Japanese ink painting. There are no menus, no tutorials, no clutter. A quiet narrator guides you once, then the game belongs to you.

GLIDE above the ocean, reading the water. DIVE when you see your chance. COMMIT — once you cross the line, there is no turning back. STRIKE with precision, catching fish in your beak. RISE with your catch, returning to the perch.

Build your streak. Each catch tightens the rhythm — fish swim faster, appear more often. Miss, and the count resets. There is no failure, only the next dive.

Features:

— Hand-painted aesthetic inspired by ukiyo-e woodblock prints — Hokusai-style ocean waves with parallax depth — One-touch controls: tap to dive, release to rise — Poetic narration that plays once and never repeats — Subtle haptic feedback on catch and miss — Ambient ocean audio that shifts underwater — Game Center leaderboards: Best Streak and Total Catches — No ads. No interruptions. No in-app purchases.

A game about watching, waiting, and the single perfect moment.
