HelmLog is the sailing and boating logbook designed for sailors who want to focus on the water, not their phone. Track trips, manage your boat, and keep a complete record of every voyage. All stored privately on your device.

TRIP TRACKING Start a trip and HelmLog records your route with GPS. View your speed in knots, course heading on a live compass, and distance sailed, all in real-time. Switch between sailing and engine mode to track propulsion time separately. Add notes, photos, and detailed log entries as you go.

WEATHER & TIDES Live weather data during your trip: temperature, wind speed and direction, Beaufort scale, and atmospheric pressure. Tide predictions show you the next high and low water at nearby stations. All weather data is saved with your trip for future reference.

ANCHOR ALARM Set your anchor position and define a safe radius. HelmLog monitors your GPS position and alerts you with vibration if your vessel drifts beyond the set boundary. Adjust the radius from 10 to 200 meters to match your scope.

APPLE WATCH Glance at your speed, heading, and trip duration from the helm. Switch between sail and engine mode, stop your trip, or acknowledge an anchor alarm, all from your wrist. The Watch app communicates with your iPhone in real-time.

BOAT MANAGEMENT Add unlimited boats with details like type, make, model, year, length, and sail inventory. Each boat has its own maintenance log, fuel log, and expense tracker. Upload photos as boat avatars.

MAINTENANCE LOG Keep track of all maintenance work: engine, hull, sails, electronics, rigging, and safety equipment. Record costs (materials and labor separately), add receipt photos, rate external service providers, and never forget what was done.

COST TRACKING Log fuel fill-ups with liters, price, and engine hours. Track expenses by category: maintenance, mooring, insurance, equipment, and more. View a cost dashboard with category breakdown.

CHECKLISTS Pre-departure, safety, docking, anchoring, and custom checklists help you prepare for every trip. Check off items as you go and keep a completion record.

EXPORT & IMPORT Export your trips as GPX, CSV, or PDF. Import GPX files from other apps or devices to consolidate your sailing history.

CREW MANAGEMENT Add crew members with roles (Captain, First Mate, Crew, Guest) and assign them to trips.

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage your subscription in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
