Features & Capabilities

Report wildlife health events anywhere—even offline. Create, review, and publish reports; view maps, dashboards, and resources in English, French, and Spanish.

NG‑WHIS (Next‑Generation Wildlife Health Reporting System) helps authorized contributors report, review, and track wildlife health events—online or offline—so data can be shared securely with WOAH. The app streamlines field reporting, supports multilingual use (EN/FR/ES), and provides dashboards, maps, FAQs, and training resources.

Key features • Create & publish reports: Draft, edit, and publish reports for sick or dead wild animals. Required fields are validated with clear error messages in your selected language. Version history preserves all changes. • Work offline (field use): Capture reports in low/no connectivity. The app stores drafts and syncs them when you’re back online; external checks run when connectivity resumes. • Attachments & data import: Add photos and files (PDF, DOCX, CSV, PNG, JPEG). Web experience supports CSV upload for bulk reporting (where enabled). • Maps & location: Drop a pin or enter GPS coordinates to set precise locations; map visualizations follow WOAH specifications. • Dashboards & boards: View country dashboards and a board of recent reports to maintain situational awareness. Export filtered data from the web app when needed. • Multilingual UI: Use the application in English, French, or Spanish. • Notifications & email: Get confirmations when reports are published; delegates can receive notifications for their country. • Taxonomy & diseases: Search species via the taxonomy service and retrieve disease lists from WOAH systems (when connected). • Training & help: Access FAQs and training materials to ensure consistent reporting and data quality.

Security & access NG‑WHIS uses Microsoft Azure SSO for authentication and role‑based access control aligned with WOAH standards. Access is restricted to authorized users; administrators can manage external user accounts and permissions.

Who can use this app? This application is intended for authorized contributors and WOAH administrators. Some capabilities (e.g., CSV import, advanced dashboards) are only available on the web back‑office application.

Notes • Offline mode saves drafts; validation that requires external services occurs when you’re online.

The app is developed by Cardiweb for WOAH using a cross‑platform stack to support mobile and web, with continuous QA and privacy‑by‑design practices.
