iMeter Reader is the smart way to track your electricity and gas meters. Add a meter, scan readings with the camera, and see exactly how much energy you use — and what it costs you. Energy contracts are optional add-ons you attach to a meter for full tariff tracking.

• AI METER SCANNING Point your camera at the meter display and the reading is captured automatically. It runs on your device first — instant, offline, and private. When a meter is hard to read, optional cloud AI steps in for a confident result (a few cloud scans per week). Works with analog (Ferraris) meters, digital meters, and smart meters. One-tap correction if a digit is off.

• AI ASSISTANT Ask the built-in AI assistant questions about your meters, contracts, bills, and consumption in plain language. Messages are limited to 4000 characters.

• UPLOAD OR PHOTOGRAPH A CONTRACT OR INVOICE Upload a PDF — or photograph a paper contract or bill — and AI fills the form for you. iMeter Reader automatically detects whether the document is a contract or an invoice, then extracts tariff name, provider, base price, price per kWh, annual consumption, monthly payment, contract length, notice period, price guarantees, and sign-up bonuses.

• MANAGE ELECTRICITY AND GAS CONTRACTS Attach an optional contract to any meter and store every tariff detail: provider, tariff name, meter number, start reading, current reading, base price, price per kWh, monthly prepayment, contract start, duration, notice period, price guarantee, new-customer bonus, switch bonus, loyalty bonus.

• PHYSICAL METER REPLACEMENT When your physical meter is swapped out, record a new meter device in the app. The reading resets to 0 for the new device — your full history is preserved on your device.

• USAGE ANALYSIS & CHARTS Generate bar, line, or area charts per meter. Compare months, spot seasonal patterns, and see whether your monthly prepayment is realistic — or whether a back-payment is coming.

• READING REMINDERS Set weekly, bi-weekly, or every-4-weeks reminders. You'll never miss a reading, so you always have clean data for your next provider switch.

• ELECTRICITY & GAS TARIFF COMPARISON Compare electricity and gas tariffs without leaving the app, powered by CHECK24. iMeter Reader pre-fills your postal code, annual consumption, and contract term from your saved data, and a built-in AI assistant explains the comparison in your language. See the potential savings at a glance — loads only with your explicit consent.

• GREEN ENERGY TRACKING Keep track of your renewable share, CO2 emissions (g/kWh), and radioactive waste. Store certifications like TÜV or ok-power alongside the contract.

• MULTIPLE METERS & HOMES Manage your main home, holiday flat, small business, heat pump meter, or night-rate meter — all in parallel.

• PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Readings stored locally — AI features opt-in only. No forced sign-up, no ads, no background tracking. Optional AI features (meter scan, PDF analysis, assistant) and tariff comparison use the cloud only with your explicit consent — everything else runs locally.
