I love the convenience of having it on my phone rather than paper notes in a file that I have to remember to bring to a doctor appointment. I’ve always got my phone with me! I’m 72 years old and have complicated medical and family histories as well as a long list of medications. It’s nice to have all that available during a doctor’s visit, especially for a new doctor or just for updating my regular doc at a routine visit. As a retired physician, I can see the value of this app for physicians. I love the idea of patients coming to visits with organized questions, documentation of symptoms and severity, accurate list of current medications, as well as medications that were tried unsuccessfully in the past. An accurate family history often evades patients memories, and can strongly influence differential diagnosis. Overall, I see this program as a major move forward for patient-physician communications and improved medical care.

What I appreciate most about Monster is how holistic it feels. It goes beyond just knowing your health by visiting a doctor, but gives you a clearer picture of your overall wellbeing - from sleep and activity to trends and daily habits. It’s empowering to have your own health information in one place and be more proactive about your health outside of the traditional hospital system.

This app makes it really easy to track my chronic conditions over time, and keep good notes. Now when I go to see my specialists it will be a lot easier to honestly answer “how have you been?”
