BANNED, RESTRICTED, AND WHO SAID SO

Skinventry names the ingredients a real regulator has acted on, and names the regulator.

Hydroquinone, banned in EU cosmetics and prescription only in the US since 2020. Mercury and lead acetate, banned outright. Lilial, banned in the EU in 2022. WHAT ELSE IT CATCHES

Claims with nothing behind them. A product sold as encapsulated needs a carrier in the formula: a cyclodextrin, a liposome, a phospholipid. If none is there, the claim has nothing to stand on.

Unscented that is not unscented. Fragrance components are declared by name because they are common contact allergens. Skinventry reads them even when the front of the box says fragrance free.

Words no regulator defines. Non comedogenic, hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, clean, natural. Skinventry tells you what each one actually requires, which in every case is nothing.

An SPF number with no filter under it. Sun protection comes from a defined set of UV filters. Skinventry names the ones present, or flags their absence.
