Easy location sharing! Scan a QR code or share a key to see friends on the map while running, walking, hiking, or visiting theme parks.

Koko Run & Walk! is an app for recording your location and sharing your real-time location with others using a QR code or session key.

You can use it for running, walking, marathons, trail running, skiing, theme parks, child safety, event management, and team practice. People who share the same key can see each other’s current locations on the map in real time. All features are free to use.

Unlike ordinary map-sharing services, this app does not use friend lists. Sharing is temporary. Location data, nicknames, and session relationships are basically deleted automatically after 3 days, so you can share your location only when needed without staying connected afterward.

If you want to keep an important activity or event record, you can save it in the app within 3 days. Saved records can be reviewed later and exported in GPX or KML format.

・Share your location only with people who scan the QR code or know the session key ・No friend registration required ・Others can only see your nickname and location ・Email addresses and other personal information are not shown to other participants ・Location is updated approximately every 10 or 30 seconds while sharing is active ・Sharing starts and stops with one tap ・Background sharing continues until you stop it ・Movement routes are shown as lines on the map ・Up to 5 activity histories can be saved in the app ・Saved histories can be exported in GPX and KML formats ・Records can be cut and trimmed before saving ・You can add shared location memos by long-pressing the map

■ How to Use

Sign-in is required.

First, create a session from the “Create” button on the map. A session key and QR code will be created automatically.

Other users can scan the QR code, or you can share the key with people who are far away. Even if the app is not installed, the QR code can open the app website.

After entering a nickname, tap “Start Location Recording” to begin. If the key has been shared, everyone using the same key will appear on the map.

If you do not share the key with anyone, your location will not be shared with anyone. You can also use the app alone to record and edit your own movement history.

Saved histories can be reviewed later and exported when needed. To edit a record, open the history map and use the participant/trim controls to cut the route and save the edited record.

Starlink is supported. In satellite mode, map tiles are not downloaded and the app uses cache-only mode. Please load the area you want to view in advance. The map cache size is up to 30 MB.

■ Location Information and Data Retention

・Location information is acquired and shared only while location sharing is active ・When sharing is stopped, location acquisition also stops ・Unsaved location data is retained for 3 days ・Data older than 4 days is automatically deleted from the server every day at midnight ・Session key validity is based on recent location records ・Saved activity histories are managed separately from unsaved shared data ・Saved histories are securely managed on the server and can only be accessed by the authenticated user ・If app use cannot be confirmed for more than 180 days, saved histories may be deleted automatically
