HOW IT WORKS

1. See your footprints — know the climate impact

Click the CarbonGuru button on a product page, shopping cart, receipt, Gmail message, webmail page, order confirmation, supplier page, or any website with product, service, or activity information. You can also paste text, analyze URLs, upload documents, or use CarbonGuru through supported AI agents.

1. Get a lifecycle carbon estimate

CarbonGuru uses AI to understand what you provide, then applies established environmental science including LCA and EIO analysis to estimate the carbon footprint. Results are reported in kg CO₂e and represent the cumulative footprint up to the point the item is in your hands: raw materials, manufacturing, packaging, shipping, and delivery.

1. Act with offsets and removal

See the footprint, then act where you are — in the extension, by email, on CarbonGuru, or through your AI agent. Fund verified carbon offsets or carbon removal directly from the result. Offsets prevent or reduce emissions; removal projects actively pull CO₂ from the atmosphere.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT

CarbonGuru estimates are grounded in established environmental science. AI maps what you provide to environmental and economic models. EIO analysis traces emissions through the supply chain; lifecycle analysis estimates the cumulative footprint including materials, production, packaging, shipping, and delivery.

VERIFIED ACTION

Offset and removal options come from trusted providers including CNaught, Frontier, and Stripe Climate, certified by Gold Standard, Verra, Puro.earth, and Isometric. Every credit is traceable to a specific project and place.

WHAT WE COLLECT

The extension only sends data when you ask CarbonGuru to analyze something — it does not passively monitor your browsing. CarbonGuru may receive the page content and URL of what you analyze, plus your account email. We do not store full page content after analysis.
