True Velocity is a GPS speedometer for iPhone with a physically-tuned analogue dial, accurate real-world speed readings, optional trip recording, and a choice of dashboard styles.

Analogue dial with accurate GPS speed: The Classic dial is modelled on a retro instrument with a chrome bezel, cream face, and red needle. GPS accuracy is displayed live on the face so you always know how reliable the current reading is. A low-pass filter with GPS-accuracy-aware time constants keeps the needle smooth without sacrificing responsiveness.

Choose your dashboard: Three full-grain leather backgrounds — Black, Oxblood, and Tan — give the app the feel of a real car interior. Switch instantly from swiping the background, or change from settings.

Choose your dial: Pick from three analogue dial styles: Classic, Cerise, and Frost. Each style has its own instrument-cluster look, matching digital speed readout, and live glow/tint treatment. Switch instantly from swiping the dial, or change from settings.

Dashboards and Backgrounds are independently changeable.

Trip recording: Tap the record button to log a journey. Distance uses speed integration rather than coordinate deltas, so it handles GPS jitter accurately. Pause and resume mid-journey if you stop along the way. Saved trips show duration, distance, average speed, and max speed, with optional Apple Maps route visualization for journeys recorded with map data enabled.
