The core problem was clear: a lack of personalization, education, and real human connection. The answer became the Nutrition Corners.

The Nutrition Corners were designed to be more than just stores. They were meant to be places where customers could get real, professional guidance rooted in the fundamentals of nutrition, training, and supplementation. Not sales pressure. Not hype. Just honest advice that actually helps people make better decisions for their bodies. And to make that knowledge accessible, customers would also receive everyday wholesale pricing on over 150 different supplement brands—because doing the right thing shouldn’t cost extra.

Doug and Stephanie weren’t starting from scratch. They had a blueprint—and a mentor. James Carron, widely respected as the “Godfather” of the New England fitness and supplement industry, founded the original Cape Cod Nutrition Corner in 1997. What began as a small mom-and-pop shop grew into one of the most successful supplement stores in the country. But through all that growth, James never compromised the core principles that made the Nutrition Corner special in the first place: education first, people over products, and relationships over transactions.

As the Nutrition Corners expanded, Doug and Stephanie committed themselves to protecting that foundation. Growth would never come at the expense of integrity. Every store, every conversation, and every recommendation would stay rooted in the same values that built the original Cape Cod location.

That philosophy is captured in what we call our “Hedgehog Concept”—the simple idea that drives everything we do: to spread knowledge of proper nutrition, training, and supplementation by building real relationships and fostering genuine community, all with unrivaled passion.
