At the heart of the app is a visual calendar that mirrors your dining room. Bookings are shown as colour‑coded cards across tables and time slots, grouped by room, with a live “now” line so staff can instantly see who is due to arrive, who is seated, and where you still have availability. Drag‑and‑drop controls let you move reservations between tables and times while the system checks for conflicts, helping you avoid double bookings and keep the floor running smoothly. A dedicated “today’s bookings” side panel gives a compact, scrollable list of upcoming arrivals so you always know what’s next in the service.

The booking list screen gives you a powerful, filterable view of reservations for today and tomorrow. Staff can search by guest name or phone number, filter by status, room, or time window (such as lunch or dinner), and quickly see which bookings are still unassigned to a table. Tapping a booking opens a detailed view with guest information, party size, timing, room and table assignment, and contact details, making it easy to confirm, adjust, or troubleshoot any reservation in seconds.

With the built‑in customers screen, Book It In automatically builds a customer database from your bookings. Front‑of‑house staff can look up guests by name, phone, or email, review visit history with filters for status and date range, and store notes such as allergies, preferences, or VIP flags. Customer profiles show total visits, past bookings, and contact details, with quick actions to copy phone numbers or email addresses, and a one‑tap option to create a new booking pre‑filled with the selected customer’s details.

The app also includes management tools such as venue setup, table layout, staff and roles, reports, activity log, and settings, giving owners and managers fine‑grained control over rooms, tables, permissions, and analytics from the same mobile interface. Real‑time syncing with your backend ensures that changes made on the web or by other team members are reflected instantly on the device, so everyone sees the same up‑to‑date plan.
