The app focuses on the essentials: record, save, organize, reuse. No cluttered interface, no complicated workflow. Open the app, start recording, save your idea to your local library.

For selected recordings, you can optionally start a transcription. SteveSamply uses Apple's Speech framework with on-device speech recognition on iPhone, provided your device and language support it. Before subscribing, the app shows whether local transcription is available for your language.

SteveSamply is also transparent about AI: the app does not use generative AI services such as ChatGPT, OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude. The only AI-adjacent feature is the optional speech recognition via Apple's system technology, used to transcribe your own recordings.
