Unit Converter & Cups to Grams
New: cups to grams for 26 ingredients — because flour and honey don't weigh the same. Plus a keypad that does math, and search across all 140 units.
Type a number once and read it in every unit that matters.
The conversion you asked for lands front and centre, big enough to read from across the desk. The rest of the category is already worked out in the list below it - so when one answer raises the next question, it is on screen before you ask.
Kilometres to miles, kg to lbs, Celsius to Fahrenheit, cups to grams, mpg to L/100km, GB to GiB, psi to bar. No account, no sign-in, no connection.
CUPS TO GRAMS, PROPERLY
A cup of flour and a cup of honey do not weigh the same, so the Cooking category asks which one. Choose from 26 ingredients - all-purpose and bread flour, granulated, brown and powdered sugar, butter, cocoa, oats, rice, honey, oils, peanut butter and the rest - and cups, tablespoons and teaspoons convert straight to grams and ounces. The weight per cup is shown right on screen, so you can check it against your own reference instead of trusting a black box.
Recipes are written in fractions, so the app reads and writes them. Type "1 1/2" or "1½" cups and it converts 1.5; ask for cups back and 250 g of flour comes out as 2.083333 - and as "2 1/8", the nearest mark on a real measuring cup.
A KEYPAD BUILT FOR NUMBERS
The system keyboard covers half the screen and has no operators. This one stays put, has bigger keys, and adds + - x /. Type 12*3.5 straight into the value field and the converter works on the answer. Prefer your own keyboard? Turn the keypad off in Settings.
FIND ANY UNIT
Search every unit in the app from the header - type "psi" or "gibibyte" or "cups" and it takes you to the right category with the unit already selected. Ingredients are in there too: type "flour" and you land on the cooking screen with flour chosen.
EVERYTHING IS LIVE
- Results update on every keystroke. There is no Convert button.
- Swap flips the direction in one tap.
- Tap the big result, or any row in the list, to copy it.
- Pin the conversions you reach for; they sit one tap away at the top.
- The app reopens on the conversion you used last.
- Commas welcome: "1,609.344" reads the same as 1609.344, and so does "1.609,344".
- Feet-and-inches shorthand: type 5'11" when you are converting from feet.
19 CATEGORIES, 140 UNITS
Length, weight, temperature, volume, area, speed, time, digital storage, energy, pressure, fuel economy, power, angle, frequency, force, torque, density, bandwidth and cooking.
Including the ones other converters skip: gibibytes as well as gigabytes, UK gallons as well as US, L/100km as well as mpg, metric horsepower as well as mechanical, plus Rankine, Mach, knots, carats and nautical miles.
WORKS OFFLINE, ALWAYS
Every conversion is computed on your device from fixed, standard factors - a mile is 1,609.344 metres, a pound is 0.45359237 kilograms. No connection needed, ever. That is also why there is no currency tab: rates go stale, physics does not.
DARK MODE
Follows your system appearance, or lock it to light or dark in Settings.
NOTHING TO SET UP
No account, no sign-in, no onboarding tour. Open it, type, copy, done.
FREE, WITH ONE OPTIONAL UPGRADE
The app is free and shows a single banner ad. Convert Pro is a one-time purchase - not a subscription - that removes the ad, lifts the cap on pinned conversions, and lets you choose 2 to 10 decimal places. Every category and every unit stays free.
