GeoBingo - Geography Quiz

This is a nice app. The haptics, sounds, animations, and much of the content are very good. Unfortunately, none of that matters when a lot of the content is incorrect. Around 20% of the trivia questions have issues ranging from flat-out lies (Kazakhstan does not border the most landlocked countries in the world, nor does New Guinea have more countries on it than Borneo) to misleading wording (Finland has a lot of lakes but is not an island country). Please fix these issues, or institute a review/report process to help fix phrasing and inaccuracies! I hope this app can be great after a few, much-needed changes

If you’re a geography buff, or just a beginner, this app is for all levels of interest! Oh, and I LOVE the purple bear mascot! I’ve been a geography nerd since I was a kid. My dad enjoyed it and it rubbed off on me quickly. I downloaded this app after being disappointed with everything else out there. Other apps were too simple and too easy with little to no features. GeoBingo is fun from the start! The intro has fun little comments. You get right into the quizzes/games and it makes you want to keep playing. There are so many features I like about it, I can’t list them all, but here are some: -fun logo and mascot! -easy to navigate, easy on the eyes, easy to understand -it has a ‘redemption’ pool where your mistakes get collected so you can directly practice your weaknesses -there is customization for your personal card/page in the app -it has a ranking system, which is perfect for those of us that are overly competitive 😅 -the quizzes are well thought out. For example, if I’m playing a ‘what country is this on the map’ quiz the answers are all countries within that region. No process of elimination to make it too easy. It forces you to learn the locations of the country! -it has a ton of fun facts of each country when you answer correctly -it has fast paced mode so you can just click and move on to the next question. That does mean you miss out on the fun facts, so it’s preference for each player, and that type of customization for settings is a huge bonus -there is an explore mode that’s so freaking good and immersive that I can’t even do a good job of describing it. You can go anywhere in the world in the Explore tab and get so much info on that country. Such a fun feature that I’ve always wanted and I’ve never seen implemented well -I think there are 9 different type of games you can play — capitals, flags, borders, trivia, languages, currency, natural geography, and a couple I haven’t tried yet, but God knows I will by the end of the day (seriously, I can’t stop playing) I could keep going and talk about how great this app is, but I’d rather go play more quizzes right now 😁
