Lift the mental load together
Finally, a household app that lifts the mental load. The full experience is free to try for 14 days, then pick the plan that fits your home
Dame is your Domestic Assistant for Managing Everything, created by a forgetful dad who never checked the synced calendar. To-do lists here, notes in another place, grocery lists somewhere else. Juggling many apps and services meant things constantly slipped through the cracks. He needed a system he'd actually use, so he built one
One of you carries the household in your head - remembering, reminding, tracking. The other means well but can't keep up. So when things get lost along the way, they feel genuinely guilty and the other one dislikes nagging but feels compelled to. The mental load is heavy on both sides
Dame started with one idea: everything in one place. One app for ten things, instead of ten apps for ten things. Everything your family needs to stay coordinated
But solving that creates a new problem. With everything in one place, it piles up fast, and a long list brings its own kind of overwhelm. A lot of time was spent researching how our brains actually handle responsibilities - decision fatigue, cognitive load, what makes tasks feel manageable versus overwhelming. The results are built into how Dame sorts your day so you don't have to decide what's next
Your responsibilities are coordinated automatically, showing you what matters now, in order. If you've ever opened a to-do app and felt paralyzed by the chaotic order of items, this one's for you. Open the app, work top to bottom. Zero decision fatigue
And the last part: everyone on the same page. Roughly 70% of households have one primary organizer. Dame ensures it actually reaches the other side. Changes show up instantly for the whole home, and you choose who sees what, from the whole household down to just you. Less friction. More free time. A more cohesive, happy household that can actually breathe
What everything in one place means:
Built in household chat, fully encrypted end to end. A spot for 'running late' and 'grabbing dinner' messages. Create additional group chats and direct 1:1 messages between members
Recurring tasks. Set it once, weekly or every third Tuesday, and Dame remembers so you don't have to. Optionally add subtasks per task for even greater organization, and you can set reminders about a task when you arrive at a location
Chores system with Fair Shares, one of Dame's standout features. Set higher shares for certain members so they get more frequent turns. Useful for when kids are responsible for taking out the trash most of the time, but dad doesn't mind helping out on occasion
Notes & lists. Notes are your scratch pad, lists speed up your multi-store expeditions. Your partner adds milk and it shows up on your shared list in real time. Organize groceries by store, aisle or category, with a dedicated Shopping Mode that makes the experience even more trivial
Saved items. Your co-worker mentions a great restaurant they tried over the weekend. Instead of forgetting the name, you add it to Dame's Saved section and you're a hero on the next date night. Save also works for places to go, plus movies and shows to watch
Recipe simplifier, a Dame specialty feature. Skip past the backstory of great, great auntie and the history behind the recipe. Sometimes you just want clean steps - organized by pre-prep (turn on oven, boil water), actual prep and cooking. A dedicated cooking mode shows a larger interface for each step, complete with timers, making cooking a mostly hands-free experience
No ads, no data selling, no creepy profiling. Dame is paid for by subscriptions, not by harvesting your family's information
