We don't drop your idea babies
Turn sparks into serious work with private ideas, living Rooms, focused writing, and collaboration. All in one membership.
Your ideas deserve somewhere safer than a notes app—and somewhere more inspiring to grow.
Idea Baby Daycare is a home for ideas at every stage: the spark you need to capture now, the thought you want to prove was yours, and the project you’re finally ready to build with other people.
Every captured idea receives a permanent claim number and a cryptographically signed proof receipt tied to its original content. When an idea needs more than safekeeping, give it a Room.
CAPTURE THE SPARK
Open IBD, write the idea, and capture it. That’s it.
Every new idea begins privately, so you can save the thought before making decisions about titles, categories, permissions, or collaborators. Add those details afterward—or simply close the app knowing the spark is safe.
Capture apps, products, stories, films, books, inventions, civic proposals, life improvements, and the strange little thought that doesn’t fit anywhere else.
GIVE IT A ROOM TO GROW
Rooms turn promising ideas into active creative spaces.
- See your most important projects together in a living, visual house
- Use project images to recognize the work at a glance
- Reorder Rooms naturally with a long press
- Develop an idea privately or invite collaborators
- Add related ideas, links, references, documents, and longer-form writing
- See who owns the Room and who is building alongside them
- Choose an open collaboration Room or keep changes under review
- Archive quieter projects without losing their history
BUILD WITH PEOPLE
Ideas rarely grow alone.
Credit the person who had the original idea, even if they aren’t on IBD yet. Add co-creators, invite collaborators by name, @handle, or email, and keep ownership and participation clear as the work evolves.
Room presence shows when someone is inside and actively writing. Contributions remain attributed, and collaboration receipts document how people and AI helped move the project forward.
CONNECT THE REAL WORK
A Room can be the calm center of a project without trying to replace every creative tool.
Connect a GitHub repository, choose a folder and supported file, edit it from the Room, and propose updates through a reviewable pull request. Add tappable web and email links directly to Room writing so research, references, and next steps stay close to the idea.
Use Idea Baby AI when you want help organizing the Room, finding a next step, or asking a question about the work. AI contributions stay identified instead of quietly pretending to be human writing.
KEEP THE RECEIPT
IBD gives ideas a durable record from the moment they arrive.
- Numbered, timestamped proof receipts bound to original content
- SHA-256 content hashes and independently verifiable Ed25519 signatures
- Public, tamper-evident anchors with a human-readable verifier
- Riffs that preserve their connection to the original creator
- Signed build permissions and clear creative credit
- Collaboration receipts for Room activity
CHOOSE HOW YOUR IDEA LIVES
Keep an idea private while it is still fragile. Reserve it for its creator, share it with specific people, publish it for feedback, or mark it Free to Build when anyone may run with it.
If a builder wants permission, they can Ask to Build. A signed permission receipt keeps the creator, builder, and idea connected.
FIND PEOPLE AND POSSIBILITIES
- Discover ideas through Browse and Trending
- React across Signal, Spark, Buildability, Freshness, and Worth Pursuing
- Find creators and collaborators through the People directory
- Follow people whose work you want to see
- Share a public profile with featured, shipped, and Free to Build ideas
- Celebrate community members whose feedback helps improve IBD
Ideas are babies. Drop yours at the daycare, keep the receipt, and give it room to become something.
