Rex: Track Books, Movies & TV

Discover, rate, review, share

Features & Capabilities

Rex helps you discover your next favorite book, movie, show, or podcast, save it to your wishlist, and rate and review it once you've finished. It's the perfect place to keep track of what you've been watching, reading, and listening to — and what you thought about all of it. Share your favorites with friends. See what your friends are into. Build a library that reflects your actual taste.

And with Rex, you don't need separate apps for books and movies, and a notes app list for podcast and tv you want to check out. It all belongs on Rex. If it's a cultural artifact you loved, you can wishlist, rate, and review it in Rex.

DESIGNED AND BUILT FOR 2026, NOT 2006 The other trackers haven't meaningfully changed in over a decade. Rex is fresh, fast, and built for the way taste actually works today.

KEEP BOOKS, MOVIES, TV, and PODCASTS ALL IN ONE PLACE You shouldn't need four different wishlists and trackers to remember what you wanted to read, watch, or listen to next.

GET RECOMMENDATIONS FROM PEOPLE YOU TRUST Follow your friends or strangers with excellent taste to find the next book, movie, or show you need to check out.

GET SMART AI RECS THAT LEARN YOUR TASTE Every suggestion from our built-in AI Rex chat is based on all the books, movies, tv, and podcasts you've already rated. The more you rate, the better our suggestions get.

SHOW OFF YOUR TASTE WITH CREATIVE LISTS Curate your favorites in whatever way makes sense to you.

BEAUTIFUL REVIEWS AND LISTS WORTH SHARING Every review and list becomes a designed share card, ready for stories, group chats, or just your own record of what you love.

RATINGS THAT ACTUALLY MEAN SOMETHING The five-star system is broken. Almost everything averages out to 4.2 stars, and nobody can tell you what that actually means. Rex has reimagined the rating experience to be simple, human, and honest: Loved it. Liked it. Just ok. Not for me. No math. No guessing games. Just the truth about how it landed.

NO ADS We're focused on building the best app for you, not monetizing your attention.

BUILT BY A SMALL TEAM THAT ACTUALLY LISTENS Not a big scary faceless company. Just a few people who read every piece of feedback and ship improvements based on what you ask for.

EASY TO IMPORT FROM GOODREADS AND LETTERBOXD Bring your existing libraries in a tap.

Your books and movie wishlist shouldn't die in your notes app. You shouldn't have to use dated tools to track your favorites. You deserve a fresh, beautiful, modern place to keep track of all the culture you care about.

The ability to track your friends’ wishlists and share your own is really cool.

A solution for all the disparate review apps. Rex brings it all together in a sleek, usable UI. I am certain this app will take off and become your go-to for all things cultural!!

Finally an app that holds everything in one place. It feels kinda clunky to open up an individual app for podcasts, another for books, and another for movies, etc. Rex lets me jump between them all simultaneously - so nice!
