Silent Photos & Discreet Video
With Screet Pro, take photos without the usual shutter sound via Silent Capture, record with a black screen, and protect media on-device with optional Face ID.
Capture the moment with a discreet, low-distraction camera workflow instead of a bright iPhone screen. Screet is a black screen camera app built for intentional photos and videos when timing and screen glare matter.
Use Screet at events, in meetings or lectures with permission, on trips, or whenever a bright camera preview would interrupt the moment.
A DARKER, CLEANER CAPTURE SCREEN
Choose a true black screen or display a photo from your library as the capture background. Keep the camera interface visible, reduce it to minimal controls, or dim the display for a low-glare workflow. These choices change only the on-screen appearance: Screet stays open in the foreground, and the iOS camera and microphone indicators continue to work normally.
SILENT PHOTOS AND CAMERA CONTROLS
Silent Capture is a photo-only Screet Pro mode. It takes a snapshot from the live video frame so you can make a photo without the usual shutter sound. It does not create silent video; recorded video can include microphone audio after you grant permission.
• Take standard photos or record video
• Choose the front or rear camera
• Adjust zoom smoothly up to 5× when the selected camera supports it
• Use flash with supported standard photo captures; Silent Capture does not use flash
• Select HD or 4K resolution
• Record at 30 or 60 FPS on compatible devices and formats
• Open the control panel without leaving the capture screen
4K and 60 FPS availability depends on the iPhone model, selected camera, lighting, and supported capture format.
FAST ACCESS WHEN SECONDS MATTER
Open Screet directly in capture mode from the Home Screen widget, Lock Screen widget, app shortcut, a supported Siri/App Shortcut phrase, or the Screet deep link. These entry points only open the capture screen. Screet never begins a photo or video automatically; capture starts after your action.
GESTURES THAT KEEP THE WORKFLOW SIMPLE
Pinch to zoom, swipe to switch cameras, swipe up for the control panel, and use the corner controls for capture and settings. Practice Mode teaches these gestures without creating media, so you can learn the controls before you need them.
AN ON-DEVICE HIDDEN GALLERY
Turn on Hidden Gallery to save new photos and videos inside Screet instead of the Photos app.
• Protect access with optional Face ID
• Keep gallery files on the device with iOS file protection
• Import existing photos and videos from your library
• View photos and play videos inside the app
• Share selected items with the iOS share sheet
• Delete media whenever you choose
The Screet gallery folder is excluded from device backups. Deleting the app, losing the device, or device damage may permanently remove files that have not been exported. If Hidden Gallery is off, captures can be saved to Photos with the permission you grant.
PRIVACY BY DESIGN
• No Screet account is required
• Captured media is not uploaded to a Screet cloud service
• No public profile, social feed, messaging, or automatic posting
• Camera, microphone, Photos, and Face ID permissions are requested only for the features that need them
SCREET PRO
Screet Pro unlocks Silent Capture for photos, video recording, 4K, and 60 FPS. Device and camera-format support still applies. Available products, trial eligibility, and prices are shown in the app before purchase, and purchases can be restored from Settings.
RECORD RESPONSIBLY
Screet is designed for lawful, consent-aware personal recording. It does not record in the background, while the iPhone is locked, or without a user starting capture. A black or custom screen does not remove Apple’s recording indicators. Obtain any consent required, respect other people’s privacy, and follow the laws and venue rules that apply where you are.
Open Screet, choose photo or video, set the screen you want, and capture with a focused interface that stays out of your way.
