SET IT AND FORGET IT Turn on Auto Check-in by Movement and the app reads your step count from Apple Health (HealthKit) and your iPhone's built-in motion sensor to know you're up and about. Steps from an Apple Watch count too. When it sees you've been active, it checks you in quietly in the background, without draining your battery. You never have to open the app or remember a daily task. Step data is read on your device only and is never stored or shared.

If you don't check in by your daily deadline, your family receives an email alert so they can reach out and make sure everything is OK. It's that simple.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Download I am fine and add the email addresses of family members or friends who care about you.
2. Choose your check-in method: automatic (movement detection), manual (one tap on the big coral button), or both.
3. Pick your daily check-in time and a grace period of 1 to 12 hours. That's how long the app waits before sending an alert.
4. Live your day. The app runs silently in the background.
5. If no check-in happens in time, your contacts automatically receive an email alert. When you check in afterwards, they get an "all clear" email too.
