Features & Capabilities

We built Soso as parents. Soso is designed to be your (or your daughter's) first period tracker.

A place to learn, observe, and build awareness over time, without pressure, noise, or adult-focused content. It’s made to feel safe, clear, and supportive, both for kids using it and for parents guiding them.

When our daughter started asking questions about her body changes, what we found were apps made for adults, with content, language, and features that didn’t feel right for a first experience.

So we decided to build something different.

What Soso helps with:

  • Soso focuses on understanding and learning first, then tracking comes naturally.
  • Learn about cycle changes with clear, age-appropriate explanations
  • Build the habit of noticing and logging periods
  • Reduce anxiety by providing information at your pace
  • Create space for conversations between parents and kids

Visual cycle tracking

  • Log periods with simple taps
  • Visual cues and colors to reflect flow intensity
  • Clear calendar view to see cycles over time
  • Easy access to past logs and history

Daily guidance, gently

  • Smart daily check-ins during a period
  • Helpful prompts that guide without forcing answers
  • No pressure to log everything perfectly
  • The app adapts over time as more data is added

Mood & symptoms

  • Optional mood and symptom logging
  • Simple icons and language
  • Encourages self-reflection without judgment
  • Helps connect how the body feels over time

Built for families

  • Designed by parents, for parents
  • No social feeds or chats
  • No adult content
  • Private by design

Soso is not about comparison, performance, or social interaction. It’s about understanding your own body, at your own rhythm.

A calm place to start Whether you’re just beginning to learn about cycles or building confidence over time, Soso is here to support that journey with care. We’re building Soso thoughtfully, one step at a time, and we’re glad you’re here with us.

User Reviews

I feel amazing trusting this app. As an older teen, and the only girl in my class who did not have her period, I was mad at myself, trying to “hurry this up already” I ate foods that were meant to help, and my mom even talked to my doctor about it. My mom is very sentimental about the milestones in life, and I couldn’t help feel like I was letting her down by not having my cycle. As a child with strict parents, all I knew about periods came from classmates or the occasional google dive. This left me feeling weird and with information I was not ready for. I started having discharge at age 11, but didn’t get my period until I was nearly 15. Im writing this on the day of my first period. I wish I had downloaded this app way earlier. The app reassured me that there was nothing wrong with me, and I didn’t need to worry. I began to feel comfortable in my boobless body! I can now confidently say that I have my period, and an app that feels like a bestie. I don’t know who’s reading this far down, but I was bullied for not having my period and boobs. I stuffed my bra and hid underneath baggy sweaters for years. It’s crazy how periods can affect so many parts of your life, and that’s why having an app that will help you through it is absolutely essential. Anyway, I actually lied to most of my classemates, making a big scene of asking girls to borrow pads, just to really sell it. I was lying to my parents soon enough, and felt bad about it. I lied to even my best friend. All I wanted to do was fit in, but soon enough I was the overdramatic girl who talks about nothing other than her periods and al the symptoms she pretend to have because she saw TV characters have them. I wish I had downloaded this app sooooo long ago, and if you are doubting whether it is a good idea, trust me girls. It is. I would have loved to understand why my body wasn’t growing like everyone else’s, and this app considers everything from you parents to you Mr body to your mood. It can even predict with incredible accuracy when you might get your period for the first time. Something i would like to point out is that you are not a mistake or a failure if you don’t have a boyfriend and boobs and periods like the other girls. This app helps you see this and considers other ways you are growing too, like in maturity and mentally. This app explains every detail I want to know, without teaching me how to get pregnant 🤮. I would literally be a sponsor for this app, im in love. Hit me up, SoSo! Will one million percent recommend to my younger sister. Thanks for reading this, and I hope your period doesn’t define who you are.

This app was great until I unexpectedly got my period early as a teen I was frustrated that it wouldn’t let me track it unless I played. When I got the app it said it help teen with earlier priories but I’m not going to pay $50 a year.
