API KEYS

Holfuy Stations: To access live data from Holfuy weather stations, you'll need a free API key from Holfuy. Visit holfuy.com and create a free account. The free tier allows access to up to 3 Holfuy stations. Paid plans are available for unlimited station access. Enter your API key in Settings to unlock Holfuy stations.

HOW TO USE

Getting Started:

1. Open WindNow - Your dashboard starts empty, ready to customize
2. Tap the + button to add your first weather station
3. Choose a data source - Select from BoM, Holfuy, METAR, TAF, or Winds Aloft
4. Select a station from the list sorted by distance from you
5. Tap any card to change its size or display options

Adding Holfuy Stations:

1. Go to Settings (gear icon)
2. Enter your Holfuy API Key (get one free at holfuy.com)
3. Return to home and tap +
4. Select Holfuy as the source type
5. Browse and add stations from the global network

Setting Up Wind Alerts:

1. Enable alerts globally in Settings under Wind Alerts
2. Set geofence radius - Choose how close you need to be (1-50km)
3. Configure per-station alerts by tapping a card to edit
4. Scroll to Wind Alerts section and set your wind speed range
5. Optionally filter by wind direction

Card Sizes:

• Small: Quick glance at current conditions
• Medium: More detail with history or additional stats
• Large: Full charts, extended history, and forecast comparison

Tips:

• Pull down on the home screen to refresh all cards
• Long press a card to quickly delete it
• Reorder cards by dragging in edit mode
• Check the footer of each card for observation time
• Set different threshold ranges for each station based on local conditions
