I’ve been looking for ways to practice Mandarin after finishing school years ago. They had a pretty enticing ad pop up on social media and I thought hey it couldn’t hurt. They then take you through this really nice UI flow of choosing your learning level, plan, and everything. The problem is that before you even practice/learn your first word, you hit a paywall… and NOWHERE in the advertisement is that disclosed. Sure it’s disclosed per App Store policies, but most people would assume it’s for premium/supplementary features, not basic, bare minimum usability. TLDR: got my immediate download, then immediate deletion

You made go through all the flow then at the very end tell me that payment is mandatory. By that point you already harvested my email and device details… If i knew I had to pay a subscription I would’ve never downloaded it
