Game night, tonight: open movecade.com/tv on any screen and your friends join by scanning the code. No download for them. Five motion games, four players, one TV.

One download. Everyone else just scans a QR.

One person opens movecade.com/tv on a TV or a laptop. A room appears with a QR code on it. Everyone else points their phone camera at the code and they are in, playing in their browser. No download, no account, no email.

Movecade turns your phone into a motion controller. You swing your arm to bowl. You tilt to steer. You chop with the phone like a katana. The phone reads the motion and an avatar on the big screen does exactly what you did. There is no virtual joystick anywhere in this app, because there is no joystick in a swing.

FIVE MOTION GAMES

Bowling. A real overarm swing, a real hook if you turn your wrist, and pins that go everywhere.

Kart Racer. Hold the phone like a wheel and lean into the corner. Both tracks are included.

Samurai Slice. Fruit in the air and everyone chopping at the same second. Nobody waits their turn.

Sky Stacker. Hold the phone level against the wind, then tap DROP when the block lines up. The tower goes up until somebody's hand shakes.

Bullseye Bash. Throw darts with an actual throwing motion.

UP TO FOUR PLAYERS

Three of the five run everyone at once — karts, katana and the tower — which is why it gets loud. Bowling and darts take turns, the way bowling and darts do. Late arrivals can join from the lobby, so a room becomes a party when somebody walks in. Playing on your own? Fill the empty seats with bots and start now.

WHAT YOU NEED, SAID UP FRONT

A TV or a computer with a web browser, in the room, on the internet. That screen is the arcade. Your phone is the controller. If there is no second screen nearby, there is nothing to play yet, and we would rather tell you here than after you download.

The app is for you, the host. Everyone you play with uses their browser, which is why one download covers the whole room.
