Easy Calorie Tracking with AI
New in 2.0: weight, water, steps, measurements and fasting join your calorie tracking on one daily dashboard. Still free, still no subscription.
WORK OUT YOUR CALORIES, THEN HIT THE TARGET
Most calorie apps only log what you ate. This one also tells you what you should be eating - then makes logging it fast. Free, with no subscription and no paywalled features.
HOW MANY CALORIES SHOULD I EAT?
- Calculates your daily calorie needs from your age, sex, height, weight and activity level
- Uses the Mifflin-St Jeor BMR and TDEE formulas
- Choose lose, maintain or gain, and set your weekly pace
- Gives you a calorie target plus protein, carb and fat macros
- Adjusts automatically as your weight changes
LOG A MEAL IN SECONDS
- Photograph your meal and let AI estimate the calories
- Or describe it in words: "2 scrambled eggs, toast, coffee"
- Include your hand in the photo for a size reference - it noticeably improves portion estimates
- Every number stays editable before you save
- Scan a barcode for packaged foods
- Save favourites and re-log a regular meal in one tap
- Create custom foods with your own nutrition figures
GETTING STARTED TAKES TWO MINUTES
- Enter your age, height, weight, activity level and goal
- Get your daily calorie target and macro split
- Log your first meal with a photo, a description, or a search
No account needed to start.
SEE YOUR DEFICIT
- Your calorie deficit or surplus for the day, at a glance
- Daily, weekly and monthly summaries
- Weight tracker with trend charts and a goal weight
- Macro breakdown across protein, carbs and fat
- Tag meals as breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks
MORE THAN A FOOD DIARY
- Water tracking with reminders
- Step count, read from Apple Health
- Body measurements
- Progress photos, kept private on your device
- Intermittent fasting timer
- One daily dashboard for all of it
WHO IT IS FOR
- Anyone losing weight who wants a target, not just a log
- Lifters tracking protein through a cut or a bulk
- Keto, low-carb and paleo eaters watching their carbs
- People coming back to tracking who found other apps too fiddly
- Anyone who would rather not pay a subscription to count their own food
FREE, AND HONEST ABOUT WHAT THAT MEANS
- No subscription, no premium tier, no locked features
- Supported by ads
- AI photo and text analysis included, with fair-use hourly limits
YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
- Your food log lives on your device and an account is optional
- Cloud sync happens only if you sign in and switch it on
- Photos sent for AI analysis are processed and not retained
- Export a full backup whenever you want
- Clear controls for analytics and ad personalisation
WORKS OFFLINE
Log meals, edit entries and browse your history with no connection. AI analysis needs internet.
MAKE IT YOURS
- Light, dark and system themes with colour palettes
- Metric or imperial units, kg or lb, cm or inches
TIPS FOR BETTER ESTIMATES
- Put your hand next to the plate for scale
- Light the food from above
- Be specific: "6oz grilled chicken" beats "chicken"
- Say how it was cooked, since baked and fried are not the same
- Log as you eat rather than at the end of the day
COMMON QUESTIONS
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature is included and it is funded by ads. There is no subscription and no premium tier.
Do I need an account?
No. You can track locally from first launch. Sign in only if you want AI analysis and cloud sync.
How accurate is the AI?
It is an estimate, and portion size is the hardest part, which is why the hand-in-frame tip helps. You can edit any number before saving.
Can I use it without the AI?
Yes. Search your saved foods, add custom foods with your own figures, or type the numbers in directly. The AI is a shortcut, not a requirement.
Do you sell my data?
No. Your food log is never sold or shared. Analytics and ad personalisation are optional and controlled in settings.
Calorie estimates are guidance, not medical advice. Speak to a healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet.
