AJMI helps patients and clinicians track degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) between clinic visits, using the AJMI five-domain grading system: Ambulation, deep-tendon Jerks, Motor power, Incontinence, and imaging (Kang) grade.

WHAT IT DOES

• Records the AJMI score over time, with a clear trend for every domain
• Guides patients through what they can measure themselves - tap, grip, gait and balance self-tests - and what genuinely needs a clinician (reflexes, imaging, bladder function)
• Lets a patient share their record with their surgeon offline, by QR code or AirDrop, with a tamper-evident signature
• Gives surgeons a structured clinic tool: serial grading, a symptom diary, and a PDF report for documentation
• Surfaces the published evidence behind surgical approach selection, for the operating surgeon's own review

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO AJMI is decision support, not a diagnosis. No score in this app rules a condition in or out, or decides whether surgery is needed - only a qualified clinician who has examined you can do that. Self-tests are indirect estimates, not a substitute for a clinical examination. New or rapidly worsening weakness, walking difficulty, or loss of bladder or bowel control needs urgent medical attention regardless of any score in this app.

PRIVACY Your data stays on this device. AJMI has no account system and no servers - nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly share a record or switch on an optional, off-by-default AI consult feature, which only ever sends de-identified findings and discloses every time it's used.

REGULATORY STATUS AJMI has not received FDA clearance or UKCA/CE marking, and is not a certified medical device. It is offered as a monitoring and decision-support tool for clinicians and patients, and as an investigational tool for named researchers working under their own ethics approval.
