Hautschutzengel – The Independent Cosmetics App

Scan the barcode or ingredient label of your favorite product and instantly see what is really inside: ingredients (INCI) explained in plain language, including German translation, origin, function, and rating — easy to understand for everyone, not just chemists!

What you can do with the app:

The app is based on the Hautschutzengel database, which has been maintained for over 18 years, and follows the Hautschutzengel evaluation philosophy: no anonymous scoring system, but an honest assessment that may still recommend a product even if it contains less-than-ideal ingredients, as long as it offers an important benefit for skin protection or skin improvement.
