MRT-7 Metronome & Drum Machine

MRT7 is a grid-based metronome and drum machine.

• Create basic to complex click patterns on a single grid
• Sequence multiple rhythms across up to 4 grids
• Layer all 4 grids each with a dedicated sound and dynamics — drum machine!

SINGLE, SEQUENCE & LAYER MODES Single mode — a single grid metronome with fast presets of the most common subdivisions. Customise the grid further with the grid editor. Sequence mode — configure up to 4 customisable grids to play in any order, with repetitions. Layer mode — layer the sounds of the 4 available grids to use MRT7 as a drum machine or groovebox.

SOUNDS Customise 4 sounds: wave-based synthesised clicks, samples of classic drum machines, and real percussion samples. Combine them however you choose. Control the volume, pitch and tone of each sound individually. Save your favourite sound configuration or reload the factory defaults.

FUNCTIONS (FUNC BUTTON)

• Copy rhythms and/or sounds to another grid
• Swap grids or grid rhythms in Sequence and Layer modes
• Shift rhythms on the grid to create rhythmic permutations — left, right, up and down
• In Layer mode, turn on dynamics to add soft notes to rhythms and grooves

PRESETS & SETLISTS Load and save presets and organise them into lists. Load a list as a setlist to flick through any of your presets for a gig, rehearsal or practice session.

AUTOMATION Automate the tempo, shift rhythms, or play timed bells — by time (e.g. every 30 seconds) or by bars/repetitions.

COUNT IN Choose 1 to 4 bars of count-in before the metronome or drum machine starts.

SHARE AND BACKUP All presets are shareable using a link or QR code. Back up all your presets, or send a preset and/or setlist to another person as an MRT7 file.
