Urja Mitra (UM) is a field-based partner program within the Urja Mitra platform designed to help households and small businesses adopt rooftop solar energy solutions. Urja Mitras act as local energy advisors who connect customers with verified installation partners, guide them through the solar installation process, and support documentation for government subsidy programs such as the PM Surya Ghar scheme. Through the mobile application, Urja Mitras can generate and manage leads, schedule site surveys, track installation progress, and assist customers throughout the journey from inquiry to system commissioning. The platform also enables them to onboard consumers interested in participating in clean energy initiatives and future energy trading opportunities. Urja Mitras do not perform technical installations themselves; instead, they facilitate customer engagement and coordinate with certified installation partners. The program aims to create local employment opportunities while accelerating the adoption of distributed solar energy across communities. Urja Mitras earn incentives based on successful project completions and customer onboarding activities conducted through the platform.
