PlantSpots is a social plant-spotting app that lets you discover, document, and share the green world around you. Whether you're a casual nature lover or a dedicated urban botanist, PlantSpots combines an interactive map, AI plant identification, augmented reality, social features, and community tools: ll in one place.

Plant Spotting & Map: Browse a live map of plant spots shared by the community. Plants are grouped by proximity or zoom level for easy exploration. Tap any cluster or pin to see details, photos, and navigation options.

AI Plant Identification: Take a photo and let PlantSpots identify the plant instantly using AI — returning the species name and category so you can log it with confidence.

AR Plant Placement: Use Augmented Reality to visualize and place a plant spot in the real world before saving it. Point your camera at the ground, position the marker, and confirm the location.

My Plants: Keep a private log of trees, plants, and flowers you've spotted or grown. Each entry supports multiple photos, a growth timeline, category tags, reminders, and favorites.

Public Feed: Scroll through a ranked feed of recently shared plant spots. Posts show the photo, location, likes, and comments.

Friends & Messaging: Send friend requests, chat privately with other users, and create group chats. Push notifications are delivered in real time for all messages.

Events: Discover community plant events nearby - tree plantings, garden cleanups, workshops, tours, plant swaps, and social meetups. Each event has a live chat so attendees can coordinate.

Achievements & Stats: Unlock achievements as you log plants, add photos, use AR, and explore categories. View your personal stats - total spots, category breakdown, photo count, and activity over time.

Notifications: Get notified for likes, comments, replies, friend requests, group invites, and messages — all accessible in-app from the Notifications tab.

Privacy & Security: You can opt in to only show an aproximate location for your public planting spots(useful for home garders, for example, to protect your location). Sign in with Apple keeps authentication simple and secure — no passwords needed, and it allows you to keep your profile and plantings connected across devices.

Content Moderation: Users can report inappropriate content. Admins can review reports, warn users, and remove content from a dedicated moderation view.
