A messenger designed to work without internet. End-to-end encrypted. No phone number required.

Whispyr is a proximity-based messenger built entirely on device-to-device communication. It operates over Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi without requiring an internet connection, server infrastructure, or a phone number to get started.

DEVICE-TO-DEVICE COMMUNICATION Whispyr uses peer-to-peer mesh networking to connect devices directly. Messages are transmitted between devices without passing through any central server or cloud relay. This architecture ensures that conversations remain strictly between the people in the room.

SECURITY ARCHITECTURE All communication is encrypted end-to-end using established cryptographic standards:

• X25519 Diffie-Hellman key exchange • AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption • Forward secrecy per session • Zero metadata collection

No server ever processes, stores, or has access to message content or communication patterns.

RADAR — REAL-TIME PROXIMITY DISCOVERY The Radar screen displays nearby devices with signal strength indicators and distance estimates. Users can connect with a single tap or use the bump-to-connect feature for a physical handshake between devices.

SPACES — LOCAL GROUP COMMUNICATION Spaces are proximity-based group chats designed for campuses, workplaces, events, and communities. A host creates a Space and shares a QR code or short code with others nearby. Participants join instantly without needing internet access or account registration.

Host tools include: • Announcements and emergency broadcasts • Chat moderation — lock chat, enable slow mode, clear messages • Member management — promote moderators, remove participants • QR code sharing for easy onboarding

Spaces support real-time group messaging, reactions, replies, pinned messages, and typing indicators — all operating over the local mesh network.

RICH MEDIA SUPPORT Whispyr supports HD photos with inline previews, voice messages, file sharing, contact cards, and live location sharing with interactive map views. All media is transmitted directly between devices and encrypted end-to-end.

PRIVACY BY ARCHITECTURE Whispyr does not collect personal information. There is no phone number or email registration, no cloud storage of messages, no advertising infrastructure, and no user tracking. Privacy is not a policy decision — it is a consequence of the system architecture.

DESIGNED FOR RELIABILITY Whispyr operates in environments where traditional messaging infrastructure is unavailable or unreliable: events with congested networks, areas without cellular coverage, travel in remote locations, campus and workplace communication, and situations where network privacy is essential.
