CARE (Child and parent Application for Responsive Engagement) helps parents and caregivers build positive behaviors at home, strengthen parenting skills, and track progress as a family.

Designed for adults invited to the CLS program, CARE turns everyday routines into goals you set up and follow with your child. You learn practical parenting skills, create personalized behavior challenges, approve progress, and manage rewards — all from your parent account.

FOR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS • Learn practical parenting skills with short, guided lessons • Plan how to apply each skill at home and practice it day by day • Set daily goals and track your own progress with points and badges • Create personalized behavior challenges for each child (morning, afternoon, and evening routines) • Review completed challenges and award stars • Create custom rewards or choose from a bank of reward ideas • Work through common behavior problems with a step-by-step problem-solving guide • Invite a co-parent to manage children together • Share progress reports with your clinical team

TRACK PROGRESS • Visual dashboards with stars, points, and goal progress • Daily and weekly progress summaries • Optional family email reports

CARE was developed in collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and San Diego State University (SDSU). CARE is available to families invited to the CLS research program. A parent or caregiver account is required. Children do not create their own CARE accounts; information about a child is entered and managed by an authorized adult.
