Haven - Escape Room Game

I downloaded this game earlier this morning and although I never write reviews on the first day, this one deserves it. From the developer of Rime comes another quality escape game. Unlike Rime, there is no overall theme. However, I have concluded that the upper level (where you begin) is the discovery room, the next level down on the main floor is the workshop where you will find the exit and the lower level is the electric room. The clues are very difficult to decipher and I used allot of hints in my first attempt. That’s not good because when a game is too difficult, it takes away the fun of discovery (one star ⭐️ deducted). However, this game has a solid replay ability (which is important because most escape room games are very short lived before I delete them). Haven is almost as good as Rime, but it’s not as smooth in the transitions. One of the new additions is the pencil (probably my favorite feature) because you use it from start to finish. For example, when you find the notepad on the table, you rub the pencil to reveal a hidden clue (very similar to the charcoal rubbing in an old game (Uncharted: Golden Abyss)). 👍🏼 I have a feeling that the developer really enjoyed making this game. It is so much fun. Even after I learned all the clues, I continue using the pencil to enjoy the experience. 👍🏼 Overall, a solid choice from a talented developer. I’ve avoided their other two apps due to privacy concerns, so glad to see this one is less intrusive (or so they say). Fun game!
