Radio HQ is a modern radio and music player for enjoying your favorite stations — and for discovering the music they play.

Build presets from your favorite stations, powered by the open Radio-Browser database, and see what's playing right now, with track info supplied by the stations themselves or identified by Shazam.

Radio HQ also lets you explore the track and the artist you're hearing. Long-press the cover art to open a Wikipedia sheet with background information, or simply tap it to open the album, play it, and browse the artist's discography. Found something you love? Save the album to your favorites.

Your listening history is kept automatically so you can favorite and replay tracks anytime.* You can also scrobble to Last.fm and add tracks to Apple Music playlists (on macOS, playlist additions are completed by the iOS or iPadOS app after syncing).

Hear an artist you'd rather skip? Then the app switches to another station.

Additional features include widgets, a sleep timer and detailed station statistics. And the iOS app supports CarPlay and has an Apple Watch app.

APPLE MUSIC

• Apple Music subscribers can play full tracks and albums instead of 30-second previews • If a station plays a track that isn't in the Apple Music catalog, that track can't be played again • Add listened tracks to Apple Music playlists automatically (on iOS and iPadOS) • Because macOS lacks permission to add listened tracks to Apple Music playlists, it relies on iCloud sync so the iOS or iPadOS app can do it instead • Add tracks to the queue • Play tracks in normal order, reversed (the order the station played them), or shuffled

SHAZAM

• Identify tracks on stations that don't provide track info • Shazam works without the microphone by default (only available for iOS 26 / macOS 26 and higher) • Long-press the Shazam button to identify anything around you: a DJ set, a mixtape, a party, or the TV — and add those tracks to your history, Apple Music playlists, or Last.fm

LAST.FM

• Scrobble the tracks you listen to • Mark tracks as loved with the Favorite button

ICLOUD SYNC

• Use Radio HQ across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with preset stations and music activity synced over iCloud

• A track that isn't in the Apple Music catalog can't be played again.
