Homebound is a personal safety app for outdoor adventurers. Whether you're hiking remote trails, climbing mountains, diving, or exploring the backcountry, Homebound makes sure someone always knows where you are and when to expect you back, and now lets you share your live location and watch your group in real time.

Who Is Homebound For? Solo hikers, climbers, divers, skiers, cyclists, kayakers and boaters, groups, and anyone whose safety matters outdoors.

Homebound began as a way to help people explore the outdoors and stay safe doing it. But it fits any time you want someone to know your plan. Homebound is perfect for a night walk back to the dorm, kids on a field trip, or a night out with friends. Share your plan with someone you trust, so if something goes wrong, they have what they need to help.

How It Works

1. Create a Trip – Set your activity, location, start time, and return. No signal? Plan it anyway; it activates when you reconnect.
2. Add Safety Contacts – Pick emergency contacts or Homebound friends to notify if something goes wrong.
3. Check In – Tap to start when you head out.
4. Check Out – Mark yourself safe when you're back. Miss your ETA plus a grace period and your contacts are automatically alerted with your trip details and last known location.

Privacy First • You Control Sharing – Sharing is always opt-in: share live during a trip, or with a Circle for a set time, and stop anytime. We never track you in the background unless you turn it on. • Your Data, Your Rules – Granular settings decide what you share and with whom. • Account Deletion & Data Export – Delete everything anytime, or download your full history.
